The History of the Club's Founding
History
“This club was not born only of a grand plan, but of a small restlessness kept breathing by hope and real action.”
Hunters Basketball Club was founded in early 2017, out of something simple: a group of young people in Subang playing basketball every afternoon on the Kodim 0605 court. What began as informal and unplanned slowly drew more people in. Day by day more joined, until what had formed was a community that was solid, active, and growing on its own terms.
Two motivations sat behind founding the club. The first was to build a basketball community in Subang that was active, inclusive and competitive in a healthy way — a place where anyone, from any background, could develop and contribute through sport.
The second was to offer young people in particular something worth doing, and to draw them away from the things that waste their time or put their futures at risk.
Today Hunters Basketball Club is not only somewhere to play. It has become a social movement, and a new kind of hope for Subang: that through sport we can build discipline, build solidarity, and build a better future.
